Cookies affected by the regulation and exempted cookies
According to the EU directive, cookies that require the informed consent of the user are analytics cookies, advertising cookies, and affiliation cookies, with the exception of technical cookies and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user.
What types of cookies are there?
According to their ownership
- Own cookies: Sent to the user's device from a computer or domain managed by the website editor that provides the requested service.
- Third-party cookies: Sent to the user's device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
According to their duration
- Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information needed to provide a one-time service requested by the user.
- Persistent cookies: The data remains stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie owner, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
According to their functionality
- Technical cookies: Necessary for browsing and the proper functioning of the website. They allow functions such as controlling data traffic, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, and using security elements during browsing.
- Personalisation cookies: Allow the user to access the service with predefined characteristics such as language, type of browser, or regional settings.
- Analytics cookies: Either processed by us or by third parties, they allow us to quantify the number of users and thus measure and statistically analyse the use of the website in order to improve our products or services.
- Advertising cookies: Manage advertising spaces on the website as effectively as possible, based on criteria such as the content or frequency of ads shown.
- Behavioural advertising cookies: Store information about user behaviour obtained through continuous observation of browsing habits, enabling the creation of a specific profile to display personalised advertising.
